πŸ“… 11th January 2024

The Save Youth Save Future (SYSF) Foundation, a leading community-driven organization with a six-year track record in youth and community empowerment across Kashmir, successfully organized the β€œMulakaat - Saamkunn te Bedaar Gasun Seminar” at Eid Gah Ground, Gutiyaar, Baramulla.

This impactful community seminar aimed to bridge the gap between government departments and the local populace, focusing on spreading awareness about various government welfare schemes, especially those designed to empower youth and women.

Strong Government-Community Interface

The seminar was attended by hundreds of residents from Gutiyaar and nearby villages, creating a strong platform for dialogue and awareness. Distinguished officials and experts from multiple government departments participated, including:

Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman, SYSF Foundation

Mr. Nizam Wani, District Employment Officer

Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, District Programme Manager

Representatives from the Departments of Social Welfare, Handicrafts, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Food Supplies

Each department representative provided detailed explanations of schemes, financial assistance programs, entrepreneurship support, skill development initiatives, and welfare benefits, directly addressing the concerns and aspirations of the attendees.

Interactive Engagement and Open Dialogue

The event featured a lively Q&A session, allowing participants to directly interact with officials, clarify doubts, and understand how to access available government resources.

Mr. Gulzar Ahmed Zargar, President of the Baramulla Working Journalists Association, emphasized the critical role of local departments in effective outreach and praised the seminar for taking information to the grassroots level.

Cultural Expressions and Community Spirit

Adding a celebratory touch to the event, a cultural segment was organized featuring performances by a local musical band led by Mr. Altaf Baharampora from Rafiabad. Their soulful and traditional renditions enriched the atmosphere and reflected the cultural vibrancy of the region.

Leadership Insight and Call for Continued Action

In his closing remarks, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of SYSF Foundation, extended heartfelt gratitude to all participating departments and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to continuous grassroots engagement. He called upon:

Government departments to conduct regular outreach sessions

Media outletsβ€”both traditional and digitalβ€”to amplify awareness campaigns

Civil society to stay informed and proactive in accessing welfare opportunities

β€œCommunity empowerment starts with access to the right information. Today’s event reflects our missionβ€”to bring governance closer to the people,” said Mr. Bhat.

Looking Ahead

The Save Youth Save Future Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to:

Promote youth and women empowerment

Facilitate access to government schemes

Encourage active community participation in governance

The β€œMulakaat - Saamkunn te Bedaar Gasun Seminar” stands as a testament to what can be achieved when government, civil society, and the community work together towards inclusive development and grassroots empowerment.
